Industrial Anodizing Excellence
Electrochemical conversion for aluminum that delivers superior corrosion resistance, hardness, and aesthetic appeal. Type II and Type III anodizing available.
Type II & Type III
Decorative and hard anodizing services for aerospace, automotive, marine, and industrial applications.
Electrochemical Conversion
Anodizing is an electrochemical process that converts the metal surface into a decorative, durable, corrosion-resistant, anodic oxide finish. Unlike plating, anodizing is integral to the aluminum substrate.
The anodic oxide structure is completely integrated with the underlying aluminum substrate, so it cannot chip or peel like paint or plating. It's also highly receptive to coloring and sealing processes.
Anodizing Benefits
- โ 3x harder than hard chrome
- โ Excellent corrosion resistance
- โ Superior wear resistance
- โ Excellent thermal properties
Anodizing vs. Other Finishes
Type II
Decorative anodizing. 0.0002"-0.0005" thickness. Dyes and seals.
Type III
Hard anodizing. 0.0005"-0.0025" thickness. Wear resistant.
Choose the Right Anodizing
From decorative to hard coat โ we offer both Type II and Type III anodizing to meet your requirements.
Type II Anodizing (Decorative)
Standard sulfuric acid anodizing for decorative applications and corrosion protection. Ideal for consumer products, electronics, and architectural components.
- โ 0.0002"-0.0005" coating thickness
- โ 16 standard colors + custom dyes
- โ Excellent dye absorption
- โ Good corrosion resistance (500+ hours)
- โ Aesthetic finishes available
Type III Anodizing (Hard Coat)
Thicker, denser oxide layer for extreme wear and corrosion resistance. Essential for aerospace, hydraulic, and heavy industrial applications.
- โ 0.0005"-0.0025" coating thickness
- โ Rockwell C hardness: 55-65
- โ Superior wear and abrasion resistance
- โ Excellent for sliding wear applications
- โ Available with PTFE impregnation
